# Supported Markets

> All currently available SQFT markets on the Shareland exchange.

Shareland currently supports four markets at launch. Each market tracks the price per square foot of residential real estate in that geography.

## What each market tracks

Each market tracks the average **price per square foot** of residential real estate in that geography. The Shareland oracle aggregates recent home sales, active listings, and historical trends to produce a \$/sqft reference price, published daily at 04:00 UTC. ## How markets are added

New markets go through a validation process before launch:

1. **Data review** - sufficient transaction volume must exist for reliable oracle pricing
2. **Oracle validation** - prices are backtested and validated by Shareland's data team (led by Dr. Andrey Pavlov)
3. **Launch** - market goes live with initial liquidity
