Shareland runs on the Base network. To trade, you need USDC — the currency used to buy and sell SQFT tokens.
USDC must be on the Base network specifically. Funds on Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, Polygon, or other networks will not appear in Shareland.

Step 1: Buy USDC

Purchase USDC from a crypto exchange. Popular options include:
If your exchange supports Base network withdrawals directly, you can skip the bridging step entirely. Coinbase supports this natively.

Step 2: Send to your wallet on Base

Withdraw USDC from the exchange to your wallet address. When withdrawing:
  1. Copy your wallet’s public address (the same address you use to log into Shareland)
  2. In the exchange withdrawal screen, paste your wallet address
  3. Select “Base” as the network — this is the critical step
Double-check that you’ve selected Base as the withdrawal network. If you send on the wrong network (e.g., Ethereum mainnet or Arbitrum), your funds will not appear in Shareland. See Common Mistakes below.

Step 3: Verify on Shareland

Once the transfer completes (usually within a few minutes):
  1. Go to share.land and connect your wallet
  2. Your USDC balance should appear automatically
  3. You’re ready to trade
If your USDC balance appears on share.land, you’re all set to start trading.

Common Mistakes

Sent funds on the wrong network

If you accidentally sent USDC on Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, or another network instead of Base:
  1. Don’t panic — your funds are not lost, they’re just on a different network
  2. Send them back to your exchange account (on the network you used)
  3. Re-send from the exchange, this time selecting Base as the network

Sent the wrong token

Shareland uses USDC (USD Coin), not USDT, DAI, or other stablecoins. Make sure you’re sending USDC specifically.

Balance not showing up

If your transfer completed but your balance isn’t showing in Shareland:
  • Confirm the transaction on BaseScan by searching your wallet address
  • Make sure you’re connected with the same wallet you sent funds to
  • Try refreshing the page

FAQ

Most wallets (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.) handle gas fees automatically using your USDC — no ETH needed. If your wallet does not support this, a very small amount of ETH on Base (less than $0.01 per trade) may be required.
There is no minimum trade size on Shareland. A minimum fee of $0.10 applies per transaction, so very small trades may not be cost-efficient.
Any Web3 wallet that supports the Base network: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet.
You need a self-custody wallet (like Coinbase Wallet, not your Coinbase exchange account). Withdraw from Coinbase to your Coinbase Wallet on the Base network, then connect that wallet to Shareland.
